The Hon. Katherine McCary, President

Katherine founded C5 Consulting, LLC, a certified woman owned, disability owned consulting firm, in 2011 after 22 years at SunTrust Bank, Inc. as its Chief Disability Officer. Katherine was the founding chair of the US Business Leadership Network, She was appointed by President Bush in 2008 to serve on the National Council on Disability and is a member of the Office of Disability Employment Policy’s Circle of Champions. She is a nationally recognized speaker, a SHRM certified Diversity Trainer and an ADA Leadership Network Trainer. Katherine is an individual with a disability, caregiver and parent of adult children with disabilities. She is a nationally recognized speaker, a SHRM certified Diversity Trainer and an ADA Leadership Network Trainer. She serves, on behalf of C5, as the CEO and Executive Director of the DC Metro BLN which won the USBLN® 2012 Affiliate of the Year Award.

 

Martha Artiles, Executive Vice President

As a bicultural executive, Martha brings a unique combination of human resources, engineering and community experience from her 30-year career with corporations including ManpowerGroup, where she developed and executed their global diversity strategy and Project Ability. Project Ability (now called Access2Ability), a client focused initiative, connects talent with a disability with business needs across the United States. Her contributions to corporate disability leadership resulted in many awards, including the US DOL Secretary’s 2002 New Freedom Initiative Award.

She served on the Board of Directors for US Business Leadership Network (USBLN®), the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC), WEConnect Canada, and the Executive Board of the Silicon Valley National Society of Hispanic MBAs. She is a founding member of the Conference Board’s Workforce Diversity Council and the World Economic Forum’s Global Gender Gap Agenda Council. Martha serves as co-Executive Director of the Silicon Valley BLN. Martha is an individual with a disability and a parent of an adult child with disabilities.
